Lesson Topic: Students will be evaluated on their knowledge of the Federal Reserve System and how it affects the amount of money in circulation.

Descriptive Overview: Students will have to provide evidence to support answers, make comparisons and interpret charts and political cartoons.

Advantages of Medium: Unlike conventional tests with multiple choice items, this test is designed to promote higher level thinking skills

Lesson Objectives/Goals: The student will: Students will describe the role of the Federal Reserve System and the impact of monetary policy on the money supply and interest rates

Assumed Skills or Prerequisite Skills: Students should complete the Federal Reserve Unit (Day 1 through 5) before completing this evaluation.
